At present,the mini PC have gone into the people’s heart deeply.People are conquered by their small and easy carrying.Now I show a TV stick to you .Its name is UG007.It’s volume is as small as an usb disk.This kind of TV stick have two colours: Black and White;

First ,let’s have a look at its performance parameter .

UG007 mini PC use RK 3066 CPU based on dual core Cortex-A9 which highest frequence is 1.6GHz and quad-core Mali-400 GPU; Android 4.1.1 JB OS;1GB of RAM ,8GB of Nand Flash;support Micro –SD storage up to 32GB ; 1 x USB 2.0 Host, 1 X HDMI1.3 Output, 1 x Micro-SD card slot and 1 X charger(mini USB) interface;its size is 89*33*16mm and net weight is only 47g.

When you boot up this device, it will show ” R-BOX” at first, if you have OEM order, we can change the boot up logo for you, this is the special service from US.

When you first boot up, the device will ask you to choose the launcher:

The left launcher will be the regular Android 4.1 OS launcher, the Launchernew is the custom launchernew, we check the launchernew first:

The biggest selling point for this UG007 is the built-in bluetooth function,we test the basic connection with my mobile phone, file transfer is no problem ,here is one screenshot:

Summary

I play with this UG007 Mini PC for about 3 hours,   don’t find the wifi drop problem, and i know the most two things you guys want to confirm is the audio sync and wifi problem.  so i did a audio sync test via the following instruction;

Also for the wifi speed,i will do a compare with the MK808 and the other model .

I suggest you connect the UG007 with your TV and your laptop together, so you can root it easily; we already tested to root UG007 sucessfully with the following method:

Use the DC port to power on the UG007, and use the OTG Port to connect your UG007 with your laptop.

1) Download Moborobo and unrar into a folder.
MoboroboSetup_V2.0.7.501(Moborobo_En_official)(1).rar

2) Download TPSarky-VonDroid-Root.zip and unzip into a folder.
TPSarky-VonDroid-Root.zip

3) Install Moborobo and open it

4) Make sure USB Debugging is enabled on your UG007 ( you should go to “setting” –”USB”–choose” connect to pc chooice”  and then go to “Developer options”–open”USB debugging”choice)

5) Wait for Moborobo to see the device and install drivers. It will detect the device as RK3066 Series.

6)Run TPSparkyRoot.bat and follow the on-screen instructions.Your UG007 will reboot 3 times during this process.(please remember, after each reboot, you should choose “connect to pc” every time in the UG007, if not, the root will be failed, that’s the reason why ask you to connect the UG007 with TV and laptop together)When complete move on to the next step. (this root tool is based on the window n101 tablet, but please don’t worry,it can use on your tv stick, because they are the same chip)

7)Install SuperSU from Play Store.(If not installed in previous step)

8)Optional Install BusyBox from Play Store.

After rooted, you will see a app called” root explorer” in all of your apps, click that, you can manage all of the files and built-in apps, Please remember don’t delete any system apps, it will make your OS die. and if you are make sure some built-in app is useless, just open root explorer, choose ‘system” folder,and check” app” folder, then you will show all of the built-in app, remember to choose ” Mount R/O“ ,then you can choose the app you want to delete, click for a while (about  3-4 seconds), there will be a menu ask you to  delete, copy or others, then you can do anything you want to do.

After long time talk and call with ugoos factory,they finally give us the stock firmware for UG007 Dual Core Mini PC.

Update instruction:

Update method:

1. Unzip the file. Zip file and copy the update.zip on the root of MicroSD card (1GB minimum)
2. Insert the microSD card with the UG007 on, then opens a dialog to update the firmware
3. Click “Yes” to begin the update. During the firmware update, please do not remove the MicroSD card or turn off the device
4. After a few minutes the device is auto-restart only.
5. Once rebooted remove the MicroSD card.

Please notice, this is not the real latest firmware from ugoos, ugoos don’t have any new update, and haven’t solved the mac address change problem, but we have tried to flash the iMito mx1 custom rom from bob and fix those problem, tested by geekbuying!

After flash, you will get a “fake” iMito mx1 , why we say this? because the ug007 will have mx1 boot up menu, will show “imito mx1″ on the about device, but that is not really important, the important is this great custom rom fix the following problem for ug007 users:

1) mac address won’t change after you turn on/off wifi;

2) add soft power on/off function;

3) add hide status tool bar function:

4) add cell phone control

There are also other great improvement, flash it to enjoy.

Here is the instruction:

- Open UG007 with small screwdriver
- close pin with wire: <show image>
- Insert USB cable on PC
- pc will inform you find a new device,and you install the driver in the dowload file,;

- open the flash tool in the download file;,and after you install the driver, the flash tool will inform you FOUND ROCK RK3066 DEVICE, and then you just need to click “flash roms”

and after it finish, you will get a new UG007

t fixes the market, roots the stick, supports xbmc(still do not support hardware decoding), fixes some wifi negotiation issues.
If you get any ‘force close’ issues, please do a factory reset to wipe data.

Download the file;
UNZIP the ZIP to get an ‘update.zip’
Copy this ‘update.zip’ to a TF card
Stick the TF card into the UG007
The UG007 will recognize the update.zip as authentic, and prompt you to upgrade.
Accept the upgrade.
Wait while the file is copied, and the stick reboots into recovery
Watch the droid in recovery for a bit and go have a glass of wine.
The system will reboot normally and return to the normal state

I suggest you connect the UG007 with your TV and your laptop together, so you can root it easily; we already tested to root UG007 sucessfully with the following method:
